Sukhvinder Singh, known for his coaching days with JCT has been conferred with Dhyan Chand Award in the recently announced National Sports Awards.
He’s currently residing in Canada with family, on being conferred the award, he said,
“Surely a great feeling but I’m not someone who runs behind or does things in order to gain awards. I’m happy I could contribute to the sport and thanking the federation for all their support throughout my journey with National Team especially, across different age groups.”
He’s won the I-League with JCT and also the SAFF Cup title with Indian Senior team and India U-23.

On the other hand, India International Sandesh Jhingan was conferred with the Arjuna Award.
